C.A.P. Stands for Certified Aeronautical Products.
This is a small company that was established in 2007 to support Vintage Airplanes. Our old-airplane experience dates back to 1968 when, as a small boy I began assisting my Dad as his "mechanic's helper". Over the years my attentions have been on all things aviation, particularly with old airplanes, aeronautical engineering, and FAA certification.
This led me down a path toward forming C.A.P. with the help of a friend. We now have a network of knowledgable A&P mechanics with Inspection Authorization, and FAA consultant Designees. We work with DER's (Designated Engineering Representatives) qualified in all technical disciplines related to vintage airplanes and DAR's (Designated Airworthiness Inspectors) qualified in manufacturing, maintenance, exports, airworthiness certificates, and more.
C.A.P. is also a certified holder of FAA Approved Supplemental Type Certificates. As of this writing, we offer two STC's:
STC # SA1-210 Engine upgrade to 85 hp for Taylorcraft BC and BC12D airplanes
STC # SA01246LA Engine upgrade to 85, 90, or 100 hp for Taylorcraft DC(O)-65 / L2 Airplanes
We are all about old airplanes... email Certified Aeronautical Products - or call today. 254-715-4773
